How "Thank Yous" Work

We received a lot of "thank yous" for the various things that we are blessed to do in our ministry. Anytime we are thanked, two thoughts come immediately to mind.

1. "All of the thanks goes to God."
2. "We wish that our supporters could hear how thankful people are for the ministry that happens as a result of their generosity"

We feel like we are simply middlemen. As God does his work in the lives of the people we minister to, it follows this progression: God calls our supporters to generosity, our supports give resources to the ministry, we use the resources to be a blessing in the lives of other, then people are blessed and very thankful.

GOD --> SUPPORTERS --> US --> KIDS, COACHEES, LEADERS, ETC.

When it come to thankfulness, we want to be middlemen and express the deep thankfulness of the recipients of ministry to our supporters. We want the gratitude to flow back through us, to the supporters, and ultimately to God.

Here is a small "thank you" that Allison and I received. As a supporter of this ministry, hear it and pass it on in gratitude to God.

"Dear Jeff & Allison - Thank you so much for coming and serving the YL "Asia" team.  The team and I have learned so much from you.  Not only your teaching but the way you live your lives.  I am so blessed to have friends like you guys.  I really hope you can come back soon.  Thank you so much for being here - I learned so much from you and will miss you both so much."
