Love your neighbor...WITH WAFFLES & PIZZA!!

This last year since we have moved to Beaverton, we have really made an effort to truly love our LITERAL neighbors. Yes, the people that live on either side of our house, across the street, and in the cul-de-sac. We believe that when Jesus said "love your neighbor", HE MEANT IT!

This has been a surprisingly hard task. We have learned that people usually tend to "stay to themselves" when there is the opportunity to interact with neighbors. We hope to bring the light of Christ into our neighborhood through living missionally- Right here, where God has placed us on 161st Place.

All that to say, this weekend was an adventure in loving our neighbors...

One of our neighbors LOVES going to the Famer's Market. So this last Saturday we asked if we could tag along with her. She was flattered and even invited her daughter to come along too. She loved showing us all her favorite spots (Including the FAMOUS Homemade Waffle stand!) We walked around for the morning and talked about summer, life, and much, much more!

The SAME day, we had new next door neighbors move in! Which meant there was a plethora of different ways to seek to serve them! We offered to help with moving, and brought them dinner at the end of the long day. Turns out through brinigng them dinner, we got to stay and chat with them for about an hour- we heard their story and told ours. We learned they have 4 grandkids that are around Rocco's age that all live in the area! One set of 2 year old twin boys, and 1 set of 9 month old twin girls!

Rocco is going to be in heaven with all these new little friends!
