Here's an email I received this morning. Thank you for your partnership with us in this ministry that allows for more and more people to be transformed through the ministry of fundraising:
I just wanted to send you a
quick email to check in with you after our conference call. I am not sure
what I was anticipating, but the fact that you started off (after prayer) by
asking how things were with Stella really meant a LOT to me. I don't
think I even realized how much until after I got off the phone. This
whole process - journey with God - has been full of unexpected turns and times of
waiting and preparation. I would have thought it would be 'easy' since I
did this before, but taking this step of obedience & faith with my family
is a different experience completely. We have received so many different
responses - from folks who are completely encouraging to folks who think it is
wrong for us to move our family to Europe - or why are we wasting so much time
& money on Italy - or why not stay & serve here where the needs are
also great. Basically, we are willing to do whatever God calls us to - as
a family - and we are feeling led to walk this road to Italy. I don't
always understand, appreciate, or enjoy this journey honestly, but I choose to
trust God's plan - for our family.
All this to say that your first statement of concern for Stella revealed your
heart for our family, and I was touched, encouraged, and blessed by your
concern. Thank you - from the depths of a mother's heart - thank you!
