Watchmen Weekend 2011...The Story of 7 Men

It was a weekend like none other.  Seven men, best friends from growing up in Salem, gathered from all over the country to pray, reflect, and dream.  After many hours of sharing, many tears, and much truth spoken in love, Jeff and these six other men had solidified what their hearts had been telling them for years..."These are the men who I will give my life to and who will give their life to me."


The premise is quite simple, Jeff and his friends are intentionally doing life together.  They meet once a year to build one another up and spur each other to pursue the vision God has given them.  Throughout the year, they pray for one another, stay in constant contact, hold accountable, and much more.

 

The vision for this group of men is taken the scripture Nehemiah 4:11-23.  They focus on Verse 14 which states, “…Don’t be afraid of the enemy.  Remember the Lord, who is Great and Glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!”  They have chosen to serve as Watchmen for one another.
