5 years ago, Allison met a group of 7th grade girls at the local middle school as a volunteer Young Life leader...
After many boyfriends, heartbreaks, finals, sports championships, and hundreds of cups of coffee later, she is still in relationship with many of these girls.
This last weekend Allison took 4 of the girls over to the beach for a weekend away. Allison says “It was such breath of fresh air to see how much these girls have matured since they were 12. They are by no means perfect, but continuing to grow in Lord, which is so awesome!”
The girls spent time hanging out on the sunny beach, playing games, having great conversations, and eating a ton. One high school girl said “The best part of the weekend was spending two hours alone in solitude with God. I cried a ton! I never have time to do that at home, and it just felt so good!”
