Happy Easter!

This season there is much to rejoice about.  More than anything, Holy Week culminating in Easter Sunday.  We as a family are experiencing God in a wonderfully fresh way this Lent & Easter. In addition to this, we have much to celebrate regarding the ministries we are serving in:

Easter Sunday
  • Easter Sunday Allison had the distinct honor of baptizing a middle school girl that received Christ just a few weeks ago.  After months and months of pursuing a relationship, earning the right to be heard, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our young friend made a decision to give her life to Christ.  As is the case sometimes, things in the girl's life didn't change instantly. As the daughter of a divorced, teen mom, the girl still has many tough circumstances and many difficult questions she wants answered.  Allison continues to walk with this girl, sharing with her the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Equally as important as the middle school girl's transformation, is the fact that Allison brought another person into the process.  Allison regularly meets with a high school girl in town.  This discipleship relationship has gone on for two years.  About a month ago Allison encouraged this high school girl that they would be sharing the Gospel with a middle school girl together.  And they did!  Not only was Allison able to be a part of leading a middle school girl to Christ, but she helped a high school girl be a part of the process too.  Allison, the high school girl, and the middle school girl, meet regularly to grow in Christ together.

What a beautiful example of discipleship.  Thanks to everyone who support the WyldLife ministry in Corvallis.  Your support is spreading the Gospel through discipleship.
Deploying Missionaries
  • April marks the sending off to two Young Life international missionaries: Ashley Volmert & Alex Ridenour.  Jeff has spent months coaching these two individuals.  Through hours of discussing strategy, motivation, and accountability, Jeff was able to coach these two gals to achieving full funding.  Both women have committed to pursuing kids, leaders, and committee members in their countries for the next three years: Ashley at a military base in Italy and Alex in Costa Rica.
Thanks to all of you that support Jeff.  Your support is producing disciples that are going to the ends of the earth with the Gospel.
Speaking at Young Life College
  • This month Jeff was asked to speak at Oregon State University's Young Life College Guys' Group.  In the weeks leading up to Easter, Jeff was able to share about Sin, the Cross, and the Resurrection in a relevant and applicable way.  It was a great way to serve the college ministry and prepare the hearts of these young men for the greatness of Easter.
Additionally, Jeff disciples two OSU students each week.  Together they grow in prayer, the study of God's word, and ministry.  These college men are setting a firm foundation for their faith and learning to serve in ways that impact God's Kingdom.
Student Compassion
  • This month we were able to meet an extremely necessary need in the life of an adolescent in our community.  Through our leadership in Doxology Church's Student Compassion Fund, we were able to provide much needed professional counseling for a high school girl whose family could not afford it.

Our work in raising money for the Student Compassion Fund allows for us to be better equipped to meet the needs of Corvallis adolescents and their families.
 The Triple G
  • The last weekend of April, Jeff is serving at a Guys, Grub, and Gospel event at Washington Family Ranch.  The ministry will be providing specialty catering services for WFR's Outdoor Board.  This is an ongoing ministry that "The Triple G" is able to serve in.  Moreover, Jeff is bringing two young men from Corvallis to be a part of this experience.
    Middle School Camp
    • Mid-May Allison is taking a bus load of middle school kids to Washington Family Ranch for the Grand Opening of the new Creekside Camp.  This is a tremendous opportunity as Corvallis is one of four areas in the country that were selected to be apart of this trip.  The spots are limited and already there has been an overwhelming response.  We couldn't be more excited!
